MADISON COUNTY JUDGE - LARRY GARRETT
The Madison County Judge is the chief executive officer (CEO) for Madison County Government. As chief executive, the County Judge:
- Authorizes and approves the disbursement of all appropriated county funds
- Operates the system of county roads
- Presides over the Madison County Quorum Court without a vote, but with the power of veto
- Administers ordinances enacted by the Madison County Quorum Court
- Has custody of all county property
- Accepts grants from federal, state, public and private sources
- Hires county employees, except those employed by other elected officials of the county
- Appoints the members of all administrative and advisory boards in the county

- Madison County Road & Bridge Department
- Madison County EMS
- Madison County Department of Emergency Management
- Madison County E-911 Addressing Office & Flood Plain Management Office
- Madison County Solid Waste & Recycling Center
- Madison County Public Libraries
- Madison County Veterans Service Office
